Hello,

The darn frost in the ground means the work planned for Magic Mushroom at the Saturdays trailbuilding session isn't going to be doable yet unfortunately.

However all is not lost!  I've had approval through for the reroute work on the Black option on Falla Brae.  This will involve approx. 60 - 70m of new trail which will replace the old log feature at the entry and provide a better technical challenge.

So I was hoping to start on this project on Saturday instead.  The work will include some brashing and clearing of branches and digging of the new trail line!

We'll be meeting at 9am at the Ranger's Office, finishing up at 1pm ish.

There's also the British Mountain Bike Demo Series at Glentress on Saturday (10am - 4pm), which'll have lots of tasty bikes to try from Trek, Giant, Specialized, Yeti, Gary Fisher, Santa Cruz, Merida and Genesis.  Because of the snow/ice the demo HQ has been moved to the Osprey car park (between the bikeshop and the portakabins) and the demo route will use the only trails that are currently snow/ice free - Dougie Bank Climb then back down Falla Brae (Good Game/Admiral are also clear).  Still a pretty sweet demo loop!  Falla Brae was riding brilliantly when I popped round the loop this morning.

Hopefully see you Saturday,

Cheers,

Andy
